To be designated Professor Emeritus, a faculty member must have
completed ten years of service at the college and have held a rank
of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

Emeritus status must be requested by the faculty member or on behalf
of the faculty member at the time of retirement from the college or
any time after that.

The process consists of nomination of the faculty member, approval
by the faculty of the division in which the nominee taught,
recommendation of the Dean, Vice-President for Learning, and the
President. Emeritus status is approved by the Board of Trustees.

*recognition at graduation
*listing in the college catalog
*college ID card
*use of the college library and computer labs
*access to the campus recreation center
*free access to college courses
*bookstore discount
