ARTICLE XIII - Electronic Methods of Instruction (EMI)

Key points are:

• The College and the NCSFA-AAUP recognize that advances in technology have led to using EMI (Electronic Methods for Instruction). This recognition includes acknowledging the value of technologically innovative methods of instruction and agreement that there is mutual interest in further developing these alternative techniques for reaching a broader spectrum of potential students. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in developing and delivering courses using EMI, while the College will endeavor to support such efforts. Any decision for development of such courses shall be made in collaboration with the full-time faculty.
