FAQ #4 - Input on Compensation for Q2S Conversion?

Q:  Will faculty will be compensated for the kinds of activities that this one-time Q2S conversion will involve?

A:  At this point, we want to hear from you:

     1. What (exactly) are the duties that you would like to see additional compensation provided for? Course conversion? Student advising? Adjunct faculty mentoring? Other tasks not yet mentioned?

     2. Specifically how many courses in your area will require conversion? (In some areas, the number is minimal. In other areas, the number is quite large. You can help us out here considerably by providing specific information about your specific area.)

     3. Is there a particular formula that you would propose in an effort to insure equity (across the disciplines) while also respecting the tremendous differences (across the disciplines) for the kind of work that will be required of all of us … in the areas of course conversion, student advising, adjunct faculty mentoring, and any other activities you can help us identify?

Please provide your ideas and suggestions, verbally, or in writing, [you can use the link below] to any member of the NCSFA-AAUP’s Executive Team: Brad Hays, Jean Jones, Jeff Taylor, Lynn Damberger, Pat Herb, Michelle Slattery, Joe Badamy, and Beth Franz.
